I just had a c section on the 14th, although it wasn't planned ill tell you my experience so far. They numbed me up so much through my epidural, took me to the operating room and set up everything. By the time my boyfriend was sent in the room they had already started working and I didn't even notice, to be honest lol. All I felt was a little pulling and within like a couple minutes she was out. The tugging can make you a bit nauseous, I felt like I was gonna get sick but never did because my stomach was so empty. I fell asleep right after the doctor showed her to me, I'm not sure if it was because of how much medicine they gave me or because I hadn't slept in over 20 hours. The next thing I know I was in the recovery room where I held her for the first time and they cleaned me off before taking us to our room. I had a catheter because of the epidural, and I spent the whole day in bed because my legs were still numb. As soon as I could feel my legs they took it out and I was up and walking around and able to take a shower. So far I haven't needed any strong medicine for the pain, just Motrin every 6 hrs. You will have trouble getting in and out of bed by yourself, holding your baby in a comfortable position, and walking. Take it easy and make sure you have someone with you at all times when baby is in the room because you won't be able to just spring up out of bed to comfort them.

That was my planned c-section experience and let me just tell you it was a BREEZE!! Don't worry or stress at all, it's really an amazing experience and birth and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've had 2 and recovered within 2 weeks both times.. the 2nd time was more like a week.. good luck hun!

Yeah yu see my doctor didnt tell me anything about the eating or drinking part or what kind stitches they will be doing..like are they internally or from the outside or ive heard something about sum glue.? Im so lost >.< No they didnt try anything my sister was even telling me to fight it and ask them that i want to deliver naturally that its just more convenient for doctors to do c section because they get paid more since it is surgery..which idk if thats true.,i just thought it was because i started to dialate and there was no way for them to try to flip the baby..yeah thats what im fearing most the aftermath of the surgery :/

Did they try turning the baby? Or any other alternatives besides having a c section?

I'm about to have c-section number 3. For a scheduled one you usually aren't allowed to eat 8 hours before and nothing to drink 4 hours before. They have you show up an hour or two before to prep you for surgery. They will bring you alone into the OR to put the spinal block in and get you situated, after that's done whomever you have with you will be allowed in. My surgeons told me step by step what he was doing. I didn't feel any pain during but could feel them pulling and my body shifting. The whole thing didn't take very long at all. After I went to recovery for an hour or so and then was moved to my room and my baby brought to me. I stayed in the hospital for 3 days, they offered 4 but I wanted out. When at home plan on having someone with you for the first week to help you out. You won't be able to lift more than baby, you may need help getting in and out of bed, you aren't allowed to drive for a few weeks. Take it easy and listen to your body.

I just because a mommy via c section. I never wanted to have to have one but during My delivery I had to get an emergency c section. It honestly wasn't bad so try not to work yourself up over it. The worst part of it is the aftermath. The first day I'm not going to lie was pretty rough but they will take good care of you! It's been 4 days for me and I'm up and moving around pretty good!
