There has been very little research into the effects of tattoo dye on your unborn baby however it is thought that the chemicals can affect your babys development.  You also have a higher risk of developing a blood born disease such as hepatitis b or hiv which you would likely pass onto your child during childbirth, which ultimately condemns them for the rest of their life.

Knowing this, it would be irresponsible for anyone to get a tattoo whilst pregnant, regardless of whether the tattoo artist knew or not.  If you were unfortunate for something to go wrong (ie get am infection or the chemicals affecting your baby developmentally), the tattoo artist wouldn't necessarily reliable as they would not know you were pregnant, and it would likely all come back to you. If you are desperate for another tattoo, i would urge you to wait until after your baby is born x

I would wait I got my industrial redone when I was 4 weeks pregnant (I didn't know at the time) but my ear got swollen and turned black around entrance from infection they ended up having to cut it out so I would definatly wait idk everything that could happen from tattoos but they def won't look as good if you do it during pregnancy, but its your choice doctors tell women all the time not to smoke, drink and do drugs while pregnant but they do. It wouldn't make you a bad mom to get it but I'd wait til you were 13/14 weeks before u get it just in case so there's less chances of it hurting  the baby

Not recommended. Anything that enters the bloodstream will come in contact with your child, including the needles (clean or not) which put the ink into your skin. Yes they may not know because you aren't showing, but it is not advisable to be tattooed, pierced, or even to dye your hair (dyeing your hair at least until you've made it past the first 3 months).

Especially worrisome if you go to a shop that is not reputable, get a tattoo, find out that the needle was dirty, because now you have a disease, and baby does too, IF baby made it through. I know several people who were tattooed from my high school that were tattooed by a guy who wasn't reputable. He gave them all Hepatitis. Would you really want to go through that and put a baby through that? A baby especially that early on might not even make it through an infection.

There is a reason they won't tattoo pregnant women. Did you think about that before asking this question?

Tattoos And Piercings Are No No. Higher Risk Of Infection, And Ink Poisoning. You Probably Won't Listen To Any Of Us. But If You End Up Getting One And Something Happens Don't Come Crying Because You Made An Idiotic Decision

Are you kidding me?! DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILD AT RISK BC YOU WANT A TATTOO!! I have 7 and was planning on finishing my half sleeve before I found out I was pregnant but guess what, when you're having a child and they're growing inside you, you out their wants and needs before yours meaning no tattoos! That would be one of the most selfish things you could ever do. Seriously.

Just because they don't know doesn't mean you should. You will be risking a possible infection which could cause you to miscarry. I've had a miscarriage before, it was the worst thing that has ever happened to me, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I believe they'll want you to wait because during pregnancy the skin stretches a lot, and if you decide to get a tattoo when your skin will stretch the tattoo and ruin it. Therefore thats why they don't recommend it during pregnancy, but either way its your choice. Just be informed of all the risks

It doesn't matter if your showing or not. Do not get tattooed while pregnant, you have increased risk of bleeding more, infection, the ink not staying well.

It's not a good idea actually. Tattoo artists will not tattoo pregnant women. On top of that, you don't know how the ink will take to your skin , risk of infection is doubled and it won't heal properly. Even if you aren't showing you shouldn't do it for the health of your child. Tattoo shops aren't going to go out of business in the next 7 months. I'm sure it could wait

They might not know. But YOU do. I even stopped bike riding. Some things you gotta give up.

I would wait until after the baby comes. Everything changes when your pregnant and your skin could not react the right way when getting the tattoo. Also, you have a higher chance of getting an infection from it. No matter how clean the tattoo artist/shop are or how well you take care of it.

Why risk your baby? Just wait until after you have your baby to get it done.

They won't do it here in Vegas either. It's stressful for baby. And you just click on your post
