I just want to know if you guys were planning on going natural or getting an epidural?

I plan on doing the same as last time and going in with an open mind. I am goin to go for natural again but I also know my limits. I made it to 8 cm without pain meds last time and I had pitocin and was bed ridden. If things go my way I dont see why I cant. In plus I really dont want to push while laying down I would rather be vertical.

With my first I had an epidural and EVERYTHING went so smooth,quick, and painless..
but it drugged me so bad I have to ask people about some of the things I just can't rmemeber. Everybody is different :) this time Im going all natural. It scares me how much I felt drugged not knowing how the baby felt :/

Im doing a "non pain medication" birth I had a bad experience with the epidural and it was not worth getting because I felt everything. And four years later I have back pain

It's totally natural to be scared! I sure as hell was! But even after I had her, the pain never felt like a punishment, like suffering. I think a lot of people fail to comprehend the difference between pain and suffering. Yes, labor is painful, but if everything works normally, you should never suffer. (Abnormally being super prolonged labor, baby presenting badly such as a breech baby, etc)

Natural is better for both mommy and baby is most cases. But I don't blame you for wanting some relief! I would say go in well informed about all your options and choose what works best for you. I doubt I'll ever get an epidural. Even if a c section was necessary for some reason is probably get a spinal instead. I'm very curious what it's like, but I also feel strongly that women are made for delivering babies and that I don't need drugs to help me handle the pain.
You are stronger than you know, mamas! Just don't go in expecting to 'fail' and ask for pain meds. You might surprise yourselves!

Natural. And @vonniek1329 I had a third degree tear and pushed for over two hours with the head visible and I didn't feel the tear or the ring of fire. I think it depends on the mama and the baby's position, but nobody I've talked to that's gone natural had actually felt themselves tear.
