when can i try to have a baby again after a m/c?

so i went to the doctor today 9/29/10 and he told me that my u/s dont look good. he said that my sac was measuring 8 weeks but he doesnt know if there is a baby inside or if it is the afterbirth that is in there. he seemed pretty sure that i miscarried. he went ahead and sent me to go have my blood work done just to make sure but from the looks of it i miscarried. i wont know for sure til monday. he is going to check and see if my numbers are going up or down. i havent had any bleeding or cramping. i have had all the normal signs of being pregnant as far as throwing up and being tired and sore breast. i dont know when ill miscarry. if it doesnt happen in the next week then my doctor will discuss with me about doing a d/c if i did micarry. my question is if i do miscarry how soon can i starting trying to have another baby and how hard will it be or will it be easy? (i dont know if my doctor will do the d/c he wants me to try and have the miscarrige on my own but when can i start trying i havent bleed or nothing yet please help?)

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I had a natural m/c in July and my doctor told me to wait at least 3 cycles.

i just saw this on the doctors and they said it better to conceive 2-3 cycles after or within the first 6 months because the body is at the best. And the chances of having a healthy pregnancy are a lot better.

I did a TON of research on that after my miscarriage. After a D&C you should wait 2-3 cycles to let the lining of your uterus thicken again since they scrape it pretty thin. If you miscarry naturally than you can start trying again right away.

My dr told me after a mc u should wait for 2-3 normal cycles.. good luck to u !

If you have a miscarriage then once everything is out of your body you can start trying. Until everything is out you will continue to have pregnancy symptoms and not ovulate. After a miscarriage it can take anywhere from like a week to a year to get pregnant again. It all depends on your body.
