BABYS HEARTBEAT QUESTION????

HEY GIRLS.  I JUST WENT TO MY NUCHAL SONOGRAM AT 13 WEEKS, AND FOUND OUT THAT THE BABY'S HEARTBEAT WAS 159.  MOST PEOPLE WILL SAY THAT IT SOUNDS LIKE IT WOULD BE A GIRL ACCORDING TO THE NUMBER BEING ABOVE 140, BUT WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAD A BOY AND HIS NUMBERS WERE HIGH AS WELL.  I HAVE THREE GIRLS SO WE WERE HOPINFG FOR A BOY!!!!

that is the one scan that each time the heartbeat was high for my boys.  My son at 6weeks was 144 and at the 12 weeks was 168.  this time around at 12 was 164 and at 18 weeks was 145...another boy.  So yeah, at 12 weeks both of my boys were above what yours is...there is still hope!!!  (maybe next time, you can send the pink dust my way)

Thanks girls, you guys are right.......it's just that I'm so anxious and excited and the suspense is killing me....LOL.  I guess we will wait and see....I have no choice  :(

When I was preggo with my last little boy his hb was at 156-160 all of the time. I was told the same thing that the hb sounded like a girl and low and behold boy!

i agree with rdh1981 with my little man his heartbeat was normally always above 148 so anything could be

It's just an old wives' tale. It's only true about 50% of the time so you still stand a chance of having a boy. Good luck!

With this baby boy in my belly and with my first little man their heartbeats were always over 140. They ranged anywhere from 140-180, so you really cannot determine the sex of the baby from the heartbeat. Sorry, I know it is always fun to guess,but you are going to have to wait and see!!!!!! Hope you get that boy you want!!!
