mucous plug

Hi ladies! I am 36 weeks and 4 days and I had an exam yesterday. My doctor told me I was 2cm and 20% thinned out and that baby is very low. She told me to be as active as I wanted so I took the dog for a nice long walk. After that my pelvis ached so bad and I was having a lot of pressure in my bum back and pelvis area so bad that I couldn't sleep last night. This afternoon I lost my plug, I have no doubt. I was wondering if anyone had any input on what I can expect next. This is my first baby and I'm a bit of a distance out from the hospital so I'm nervous about the whole process

Keep an eye on it. My water had to be broken by the doctor

That is exactly how I feel! It feels like I am severely constipated, a painful amount of pressure in my bum and pelvis. I called the doctor and their advice to me was to wait for regular contractions or for my membrane to rupture

If you have lost your plug you need to contact your doctor. When I went into labor with my first child, I felt like I had to poop but nothing was coming out. 11 hours later my daughter was born! Call your doctor they could possibly admit you.  Good luck!
