My daughter is going through a similar situation. ..can you email me a little more details? ***@****
Little caesars is actually a huge company. Might be separately franchised, but they're all over the u.s. I've lived in 3 states across the country and there have been several near me in each of them. I grew up in MI(where it originated) so i am very familiar with the co. cuz it's huge there. You can try to go after them, but the 90 day thing really benefits the business and like a prior poster said it's hard to prove pregnancy had anything to do with it unless they had written it or left it in a voicemail. Sounds like a bad manager. If anything just go above him and try to do something about him being unprofessional. Maybe they will investigate.
Like i said its a small franchise, kinda ghetto. Lol when i was hired i never showed any form of identification or anything. He asked me questions for my tax form and threw me a shirt.
Yeah i'd imagine a company as big as little caesars has a 90 day policy as a lot of businesses do unfortunately. Within that time, they can let you go really without reason. I've never heard of it being illegal to fire over the phone either, as some corps. even do it over email. Crappy situation, but at least it's an easy replaceable job. Bad timing though.
Contact the bbb file a claim then call a lawyer and see what they suggest...write down ant dates fromanyconversations you had with any managers or supervisor...google the corporate office and make sure fully have names and dates of everyone once you speak to and what they tell you... Go to unemployment office to file claim as well
It was a job at Little Caesar's. Move on and find something new - it can only improve your resume.
I agree with the above. It totally *****, but if you only worked there two months you were not there more than 90 days which is usually the standard. Before 90 days a business can fire you without reason. Unless your state says other wise, I highly doubt you have a legal standing to peruse. Sorry :(
I meant to say fire you* not sue... haha(: just noticed that....
Definitely try to go through corporate.. Suing is just not the best idea it's expensive as hell and you are going up against a corporation and their lawyers will always better and unless you have concrete evidence that they fired you because your pregnant then it's just a waste money and time and stress you don't need.
I would contact cooperate but first I would ask for termination paper work from your boss.
I would suggest not sueing them. Yes it's illegal and yes it's discrimination but you have no solid proof they fired you specifically because you are pregnant. They can make up any excuse in the book and say that is why they fired you and no questions will be asked unless like I said you have definite proof it's because your pregnant (a text message from your boss, etc). I'm not trying to be rude or discouraging, I've just been in a similar situation and spoken to several attorneys regarding it. It is wrong and I'm very sorry they did that to you but honestly I'd leave it alone, save your time and money you'd spend on a case your not likely to win anyways and just find something else. Again not trying to come off rude, you can always call and ask an attorney but that's the best advice I can give you.
Try going online and finding a corporate number.
Call Human Resources for little cesars in tour area. If they don't reinstate you, tell them that you will consult a lawyer. That should set them straight. You may still be under probation but you can be fired anywhere at any job because you're pregnant.
Find a local better business bureau number and report a complaint, or if you have the money for it you can hire a lawyer to file a lawsuit for you. Lawsuits can be expensive and very time consuming though
i would maybe try to call cooperate. everybody has a boss. but i have no idea how you would do that. maybe call a little caesars in a different area and ask to talk to their gm and maybe tell them what happened and that the store you worked at is not professtional and something needs to be done. sounds like alot of work but it might get something done.
You should definitely sue them !!!
Thats illegal in any state to sue because youre pregnant. Its discrimination... thats ridiculous.
I worked there 2 months, the owner is the one who called me, its a small franchise in troy, ny. Their very sneaky and shady there. How do i get ahold of someone higher than the owner?
thats non sense. i used to work at a little caesars and i never heard of some nonsense like this. find the gm or his boss better yet.
How long did you work there
