Had to go to L&D... Ugh

First off, I'm 33w5d pregnant.. Everything so far has been fine with this pregnancy.... Well, I woke up Friday morning with a little tummy trouble. Just figured it was my body preparing for labor which could take weeks. I went back to sleep and got right back up having to go back to the bathroom. Needless to say, I had diarrhea and it lasted all day. In the middle of the day I started getting nauseated. Thought well that's great lol...

Around 6:30 I started throwing up and my stomach was hurting. I considered possible morning sickness or a stomach bug. It was neither. I had been feeling tightening in my stomach all day but they didn't start hurting until later on... So by around 8:00 I was not feeling well... At 10:45 I was headed to take my 10 month old to his memaw's house cause I was going to L&D. We get there at 11:30 and they strapped the monitors on me and sure enough I was having contractions. They checked me and I'm 2cm dilated and 80% effaced. We literally moved into our house on Thursday and my body was trying it's best to go into labor Friday lol...
I didn't do any lifting or anything like that.. I got the shot to stop labor and I never want another one of those! They really hurt!

I got fluids, morphine, labor shot and something else so basically they told me no walking around Walmart, lifting my 10 month old (he's over 20 pounds and tall) no sexual activity, minimize stair climbing, etc... Blah! Is all I can say. It's hard when your baby doesn't walk yet and your DH works a lot. Thankfully, my mom is going to try to help me this week since DH has to go back to work tomorrow... Anyway, just felt like posting since I'm stuck on the couch at the moment. Got a bit of a tummyache.

I got put on bedrest at 32 weeks my last pregnancy for the same thing. I got put ob super strict bedrest when I was only allowed to get up to use the restroom. I also had a 2 year old and my husband works 12+ hours a day. The best thing I can suggest is to recruit your mom and friends to spend the day with you and help you with your other baby. Get some book or some video games (if you like that type of thing) and just relax. They should take you off bedrest at 36 weeks since that's considered the "safe" time to deliver. I feel for you though! It is so boring having to sit around all day. :(
