Cervix check before getting pregnant?

Have any of you checked your cervix before getting pregnant as the sure sign to know when you are ovulating. I have read things & they say that when you check your cervix & it feels like the tip of your nose you are not ovulating yet, but when it's higher up & feels like your lips that it means that you are supposed to be ovulating. Have any of you tried this method & been successful at getting pregnant?

That's awesome, I think the more you know about your body though the better. I have a friend of mine that didn't dare or want to for the thought of maybe harming her baby - it's no worse than having sex lol. :) Thanks for the info on "my beautiful cervix" lol :)

I checked mine befor and during pregnancy with my last and I think it is what helped me concieve this time. I know it grosses some ppl out but it really helped. I actually told my husband when I was going to have our daughter because I checked my cervix prly 1 a month during pregnancy and then once a week (if dr didnt) the last month and I checked it and sure enough I could feel her head engaged. My water broke 3hrs later. If you google "my beautiful cervix" it goes threw what it should feel and look like at each stage of ur cycle. Pictures are of actually women and are graphic but very informative.
