newborn car ride.

I want to take my 3 week old to meet his great grandparents and other family, but its like a 13 hour drive. Anyone ever take their baby on a long car ride? I want to do it before he gets older and is throwing a tantrum in the backseat. He sleeps a lottt right now.

We took my oldest son to Kentucky when he 2 months old and he slept most the time and it's like a 3-4 hr drive from where I live .

Had his cord fallen off yet? If so I'd say it's fine if rides put him to sleep. I'd stop to feed/change him tho so that he won't get tired or irritated by being in the car seat too long. Plus you and your dad could use a stretch every so often as well

Im going with my dad. It may not be exactly the safest but i think i can change him quick by just unbuckling his bottom part so we should only have to stop to burp hopefully.and car rides usually put him to sleep pretty well.

If ur baby don't mind  my son hated the car for the longest time seem like as long as he don't cry when he in the car on a short ride it should b good. U might have to stop every 2 to 3 hours to feed  the baby and then to change them ever so often which will make ride longer unless u have someone  who is driving  so u  can be n the back with the baby.
