newborns christmas?

those who have had a baby close to Christmas, or is having one how much do you plan on spending for your baby for Christmas, also do you wrap their presents?? I'm not talking about a one month old or anything like literally a newborn baby. I'm due the 12th of December and I'm so confused on what to do or get for him! Or if i should even wrap it lol i got him a few little stocking things....but my parents are going to be buying for him,  his mom, his step mom n dad, his aunts and all that. So ugh i just don't know what to do! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm due soon with my second December baby and let me just tell you, its whatever you want to do because chances are, the baby will be asleep the majority of the time anyway! LOL with my first, we went ALL OUT, wrapping paper, bows, etc... I enjoyed opening her presents and stacking them around her but really was she close to being aware of what was going on, not at all. This time around maybe some wrist rattles and a paci or a glow worm and that's it!! :) I'm sure he won't care either way!! Good luck.

my son will be 5 months by christmas and i am in the same boat like i have all the little baby toys from my daughter so we have almost everything so i guess he will just get clothes and stuff

Definitely a little stocking is going to be sufficient, trust me, enjoy the 1st few years when they don't want/need much to be happy. My son just turned 3 and is asking santa for everything under the son, and the first 2 christmas's we went SO overboard on things he doesn't even remember, haha!

Ape see that's what i was thinking about doing was just a stocking because everyone says to get like teethers n what not, i have waaaaaaay too many of those lol we got him a few outfits too and a little sock monkey animal. Already got his stocking and what not. So that's probably what I'll just do as well lol. I didn't even see your post!
Mommyintraining i don't think that's hateful lol. If i was due on Christmas i wouldn't do anything either honestly! But my boy will definitely be here before then so i wasnt sure what to do really! But i think i got an idea now. So thanks ladies! (:

I would get things they need like clothes and such and as for shocking stuffers I would do socks and teethers maybe a rattle

I'm due Dec 14 and because we have 2 other younger children who would ask questions about why the baby didn't get anything from santa we bought him a rattle and musical sea horse. That's about it.  

mommyintraining23--you are definitely not "hateful"at all.  Your babe may not even be here for Christmas.  If it wasn't for our younger girls, he wouldn't have gotten anything either.

Geez, I must be hateful. I'm due on Christmas Day, and I wasn't going to be getting him anything... I didn't even know if Christmas would be normal since it's all so up in the air

Hey girrrl :-) we're not doing anything for her for xmas. We got her a stocking but she's got everything and will have no idea what is going on. We got a color changing fiber optic tree for $15 at walmart. I posted this same question like a month ago and lots of people said they weren't doing much or previously didn't

I'm due in christmas day so everything is up in the air for me. I'm planning on gettin her a baby's first christmas ornament to wrap and then I'll probably wrap a couple things up for her but mostly so I can take photos and stuff. Just to kind of be able to show her later on her first Christmas pictures. But who knows. She may not even be here yet.

See that's kinda what i was thinking. Just a little stocking, cause i mean we already gotta open up every one elses gifts for them! My friend is due in about 2 weeks n she's going all out, but i just don't see the point when i have everything already! But we seen this walker you, that turns into a riding toy for 9mo+ and thought about getting it even though he can't really use it until late next year, but I'm just not sure lol. Its so hard haha specially when you're a ftm!

I was wondering the same thing.. My little girl is due the 23rd of dec and ofcourse we have the newborn essentials but im not sure about gifts for christmas.. i was thinking about maybe a " My first christmas" stuffed animal or a few little toys to signify the date
