night light?

I'm due in 3 days and I'm a first time mom and I was wondering if your New born needs a night light or do they sleep in the dark like us?

^^^exactly the same here. I have a string of half way lit Christmas lights that only light up my bed area on at all times. Its really hard to get my son attached in the dark (breastfeeding) so the light is for me. I know it may make it to where my son needs a night light for a while but I don't think so. Since the light is so soft when he is in his crib its still pretty dark. But no the baby doesn't need a night light. They've been surrounded in nothing but darkness for 10 months. My son actually prefers to sleep with the lights off.

I had a night light in our room but that was so I could see when I had to feed / change etc at night without waking my partner. That being said, my son (now 15months) won't go to sleep in total darkness. So he has a night light in his room. With this baby I'm plannig not to use one so he doesn't get used to it. But that may change lol. It's entirely up to you though
