Just came back from specialist...dont know what else to do!

Hello ladies, hope everyone is fine.  As you all know I have a nurse that comes out to my home once a week to give me progestrone shots.  When she came today and put me on the fetal monitor we both noticed that I had some contractions and during each conctraction the baby's heartrate went from 154 to about 140bpm within a matter of seconds.  The contractions arent painful but they are noticeable.  She put in a call to the specialist and he had me come to the office right then and there.  I saw him about 3wks ago and he told me where my cervix is suppose to measure 3.5 it only measures 2.9, and today it was at 2.8 which means it shortened by just a hair.  Ladies I just dont know what else to do.  They want me on strict permanent bedrest meaning I use a bed pan and dont get up at all.  But lets face it I have two small kids (9 & 7) and a husband who's an over the road truck driver.  Both my parents and siblings work full time so there's just no way I can rely on anyone to take care of me and mine but me.  Lord knows I want a healthy baby and he deserves a fighting chance but what else do I do that I havent already done?  I've left my job, I'm doing partial bedrest, I hardly drive myself anywhere; I'm just getting tired and dont know what else to do.  Please help me before I lose what little mind I have left.!!!

I havent even thought about that!  I've been trying so hard to act as if nothing is bothering me and trying to keep all the discomfort and aggravation to myself that I havent really shared my feelings with any one else.  I will ask this Sunday for sure to see what kind of help I can get b/c Lord knows I'm going to need it.  I'm just 21wks 3days and still have so far to go.  Thanks

Wow girl, Im sorry to hear this. I wouldnt know what to do myself. Do you have any church ladie that wouldnt mean helping out?
