no heartbeat at 6 weeks?

i am 6 weeks pregnant today but went for a u/s dating scan yesterday and the fetus messuraged obly 5 weeks and 6 days she also could not find a heart beat. im worried sick that i could loose the baby.

i have been to my doc they have told me to wait 7 days and go back for a re scan! i hope its they can find a heart beat by then! the bleeding was brown and red today very small amount tho! so fingers crossed.

What colour is the bleeding and when did it start? To be on the safe side call your doc or go to ER.Bleeding is not a good sign although sometimes its normal.Some women bleed during pregnancy and go on to have healthy babies.

im having period pains in my lower back, have had slight bleeding when going to the toilet but not alot.

no the baby messured 5 weeks and 6 days yesterday. the way she said we will have to refer you for a second scanning and hope for the best has worried me. its my first pregnancy. however everything els is present such as yolk sac, amniotic sac, embryo just not a hear beat :(

try not to worry.babies develop at different rates.What sort of pains are you having? If you are cramping its normal.As long as there is no bleeding,you should be fine.

It is very common not to find a heartbeat untill 10 weeks really... So dont get scared. Did you scan match your dates? Like is the baby matching 6 w and 4 d?

thankyou! however my doctor and i worked the dates for me to have been 6 weeks and 4 days, im worried that the baby might have stopped growing hence no heartbeat. also the fetus messures 2.5mm and i pregnancy book i have say the heart is beating on its own now. im worried becuase of the pains

Try not to worry, I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and we did not find a heart beat either and I'm now just about 31 weeks along.  They say between 5 1/2 and 6 1/2 weeks is when you start to see the heartbeat, since you measured only 5 weeks 6 days don't worry yet!
