no heartbeat

So I went to the doctor complaining of a cramping pain in my stomach . He tried to find the baby's heartbeat but found nothing . I'm only ten weeks so is that normal??

Try not to let yourself worry too much. My Dr couldn't find my babies heartbeat with doppler at 10 weeks or 14 weeks. After the attempt at 14 weeks he had me go for an ultrasound that day and there she was perfectly fine. I even had another OB try to find it with the doppler right after the ultrasound and she couldn't get it either.

There's couple of ways to troubleshoot this situation right off the top of my head, were the speakers unplugged or turned off? Often times the clinic/patient rooms do not provide hi-tech gadgets so the drs use what they have but if you pay close attn to the monitor then you can read the heart beat. Another thing is, did your dr showed any concern when he/she couldn't find a heartbeat? Also, the fetal heart beats can be easier to find when you're a few more weeks into your pregnancy. Best of luck.
