induction experiences? freaking out

i'm going tomorrow night to be induced, i'll be 41+3. well, i was only just barely 1cm dilated on monday, i've had no labour signs at all, no mucus plug, no contractions that i've been aware of..not even braxton hicks. The baby is apparently not even fully engaged. nurses said it will make my labour really long having to get my cervix softened and dilated etc etc, i have no idea what to expect at all and its starting to freak me out because they wont let my boyfriend stay with me, theyre making him drop me off then come back on saturday morning during visiting hours which is f~ing stupid.

because they're giving me stuff to start the labour and putting me up in the ward until full labour starts and "it'll be night time anyway and there will be 3 other mums in there that have just had babies"..i think him being there wouldnt make a difference. in fact itd be quieter than the others who have their babies in the room crying...
i've never been in hospital before so it's just intimidating.

What?! They won't let your boyfriend stay with you?? That is crazy! I would throw a fit if they told me that! I hope everything goes OK. I have never been induced so I am not much help there
