Doctors wouldn't see me until I was 10 weeks and I never had an u/s done. First u/s I had was when I was 21 weeks. But at my first appt. I had my weight and height measured, checked my blood pressure, peed In a cup, and they asked a lot of questions regarding family history of physical abnormalities and such, had a pelvic exam done, drew blood, and listened to the heartbeat.
I agree with maxeymom. I had no idea I was having an ultrasound at much first appointment. I didn't have my husband come because I thought it'd be a boring visit and I was upset we had to do it without him: (

Thank you for replying. It's my first baby. So I'm completely new to it all. I've been googling non stop. I just wanna be prepared as much as possible.
They should tell you if you are going to have an ultrasound. Usually they dont with first visit but i would ask incase you want anyone to be there.
I had an ultrasound, they checked heartbeat, they took blood to test, and pee, and asked a million guestions. Lol
They dont do much unless you are further along. They just test to make sure u r preg then ask questions and check weight, urine, and heart rate. Then they should schedule u to come back for ultrasound. Nothing to be nervous about oh and they ask when first day of last period was so they can estimate a due date
