My mom's car just did this last week. She went to the dollar store and when she came out it wouldn't go anywhere. It sat there for two days and my step-dad is a mechanic and he looked at it and said it was the starter...
My car is doing the same thing. Idk why things happen so close to due dates but they do Lol... Thankfully, Dh just bought an xterra so we have a way home from the hospital.
My dads car sd id this befor he fixed it he aid it as the cp th ev car has did it stop slowly but it steel gept runing slowly till it cv omes to a stop
I swear something always comes up just as soon you think things are good, running smoothly and feel ready. With me... The day i was changing all 4 of my tires, on our way exiting the freeway... A rock hits our windshield and cracks it. Then that night deriving back home the car in front of us his tire popped and peice of the tire hit out drivers side mirror and broke it off. Yay!!! It just never ends... I'm due today...
My car did that and it was the alternator didn't cost too much and was easy to fix.
No it's like the gas pedle stops working and then the engine cuts off. No squelling. It's a ford zx3 or something like that if it makes any difference to your man. Cnhuak no warrenty. I paid cash for it, it's about 9 years old. My bf knows hondas and is pretty much clueless when comes to fords so he's learning as we go with this one.
My hubbie is a mechanic, he was wondering if it shut off instantly, and if it squealed?
Do you have a warranty for the car? If so, is it still within the time on it?
I know it's just temporary. Thanks ladies. My bf tried to figure it out. He thinks it has something to do with the alternater. We just don't have the money to start trying to fix it when it might not be what we think it is. Here in a few weeks he said he'll be able to save up some so we can have a mechcanic hook it up to a computer. That way we'll know exactly what's wrong.
Im not a big car person but it sounds lik it could be either the radiator or motor. Im not forsure tho.
Its alright I feel your pain, my car is constantly having stuff go wrong with it for no reason...today on the way to my doctors appointment it started to make a funny sound like a tire was rubbing turns out I have ball joint that needs to be replaced, before that it was some belt , and now there is also a hole in the exhaustion pipe I don't have the money to fix everything because I am on unemployment and I feel bad for my little one who is due in 9 days but you what thankfully they won't remember, by the time our kids are old enough to remember if the car had working air or if the car made a funny noise we will both have cars that work us and not against us
Ok I'm not a super huge help but I did Google "my car dies when I turn on AC" and a bunch of stuff pops up. Depending on what kind of car you have it may be an easy fix. If you have a guy that could help you figure it out that would be ideal, but you can fix anything by searching on Google.
