ULTRASOUND UPDATE!!!!!

Sorry it took me so long to get back. I got a nap in after not sleeping one wink last night. So here goes..............................We are having a ..................................................................................................................................GIRL!!!!! OMG I truely didnt think it would ever happen!!! As soon as the tech said it, I started to tear up, my hubby looked over and said "your crying!" Then right before the water works started the tech hands me a kleenex and I couldnt stop, lol:) Baby looked great!! She is measuring right on schedule!! The doctor came in after about 15 minutes of making us wait and scared the **** out of me. So baby girl has something called echogenic bowel. Anyone ever heard of this?? I had to talk to a genitics conselor, and now need test to rule out DS, but the doctor said baby didnt show any signs on ultrasound of it and some other genitic problems. Or she said it couls be blood in the bowel, or nothing at all. She had me so freaked (that is why I never did any of those stupid test that they offer you) My hubby said it didnt matter either way and he was sure there is nothing wrong. But the cool part about all of this is I get a 28 week ultrasound just to check baby girl and make sure she is measuring right.
So as happy as I am right now about finally having a girl after having 3 boys, they had to go ruin it for me, lol. I guess we will see in a few weeks.
OMG I still cant believe it!! ITS A GIRL!! I CAN FINALLY BUY PINK!!!!

Congrats on finally getting your lil princess! i too am hoping for a girl since i already have boy! something weird though...when i was preggo with DS every time i went clothing shopping for some reason blue's and greens where more appealing to me and every one would tell me i was having a boy just because of the way i chose blue over pinks...then i found out i was having a boy...this time around i have bought myself 2 pink shirts 1 red shirt, and a bunch of flip flops that all have pinks & purples in them no boy colors at all...maybe i am having a girl another month & 1/2 before i may be able to find out! hopefully everything will be okay with echogenic bowel...maybe it's not as bad as it sounds...best of luck and congrats again!

Congrats on your girl!!! I was the same way after 2 boys ages 14, and 9!! I never thought I would get to buy pink! OH but you should see my closet now! LOL

I'm not sure about the bowel disorder, did they actually diagnose her, or are the just monitoring signs?? I wouldn't worry too much about it, that will just drive you crazy! OH and stay off the internet!! LOL It will give you needless worry!

Thank you ladies:) I am so excited for my little princess!! I am also freaking myself out googleing everything I can find on echogenic bowel. I have had my neighbors praying with me and each time I break down sobbing, stupid hormones!!  Does anyone know how long it takes to get blood tests back (triple screen test and ect.)???

Congrats!!!!!  Sounds like my ultrasound appointment.  I alreadu had 2 boys and I was dying for my own little girl.  When the Tech said it was a girl I lost it.....I was sobbing like a baby.....and the poor people at the office, I walked out of the room all hysterical and they all thought I had gotten bad news.  I explained to them trough the crying that they were happy tears!!!  Girls really are great.  My DD is 6 mon ths old now, and I just got her a "summer wardrobe"..as soon as I got the clothes me and her sat down and had a "fashion show" lol....

they're great at freakin us out for no reason...had me sat waitin for a miscarriage for 9 weeks that was never gonna happen. ibeteverything turns out andi'm keeping my fingers firmly crossed.
