strange period

Ok so I'm on the pill and I had sex about 3 weeks ago. The thing Is I may have missed a pill or 2 around the time of sex and didn't use a condom. I've now got my period but... Sorry if tmi, the blood seems abit strange. Its really bright red and quite stringy like its mixed with clear discharge. I've never really had this with a period before and wondered if u thought this could be a sign of pregnancy? Even though I'm bleeding? Not had any other signs really, I'm abit constipated but that's about it. Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks :-)

try taking an hpt. the dollar store tests are just as sensitive as the brand name ones. you might be experiencing implantation bleeding if you are. i have had the same type of period when i thought i was pregnant but it just turned out to be normal
