Google combination birth control pills. It works three ways. It stops ovulation preventing an egg from being released and you being able to get pregnant. It changes the lining of your uterus so that it's harder for an egg to implant, and also changes your mucous. Unless you're on a birth control that does NOT contain BOTH progesterone and estrogen it is a combination pill and DOES ALL THREE. I was on Aviane, which is also known as Alysee and several other names, and bc pills like Yaz and others do the same thing. Look up how your specific one works, but I'm pretty positive that if it's a combination pill it works the same way.
I don't know about what the cervix does but BC makes it so you DON'T ovulate. It does nothing to the lining. That's why you still have a period. You DO NOT ovulate when on BC. I just don't want you to have the wrong information. I don't know about the cervix sorry about that question.
Thanks!!! Well I have my yearly in like 3 weeks or so. I guess if I don't get my period I will call him earlier.
It should go through it's normal changes. If you are concerned I would suggest speaking with your gyno
So what your saying is my cervix will still go through the normal changes? I just don't think my cervix should still be high and soft at this point.
Birth control pills thin the lining so that an egg does not implant in the uterus it should not effect your cervix.
