Exercise, therapy, and healthy diet are great ways to help. I had a friend who couldnt stop her antidepressants or she would loose it. Her son is healthy and fine. Do what is good for you and the baby. You want to be careful of postpartum too so if you need the antidepressants there is nothing wrong with that :) Your doc is rude! Messed up!
Ive been on Citalopram for 3 years and my obgyn told me to stay on it because he has had many patients stop their antidepressants then they had horrible postpartum. It is the only one I feel good about taking. If I ever skip 2 days by accident the affects are bad! I feel very cloudy and dizzy but the moment I realize it I take it and I feel right in no time.
Thats what I did and it really helped me.. I was depressed b4 I was pregnant.. But deff try to exercise .. Best of luck :) my personal fave was my stepper still do it nw at 32 weeks always feel great after.. Yoga is gd too
I was also told to come off my celexa. It's the same drug. I have been off it for 2 months and I'm going crazy. But I found going yoga and doing meditation. Has helped me a lot. I also read a lot more than I used to about my issue for why I was put o. It in the first place. Good luck. But support is what you are going to need. Because it is not safe to be on this drug while pregnant
As far as natural things you can do add an extra calcium and vitamin d supplement to ur diet and get 20 minutes of exercise 3x weekly. In about 2 to 3 weeks u should see some improvement. Good luck.
I also asked this dr, wont the aniexty n depression itself have a negative after on the baby if it gets bad? She said no all ur doing if providing it nutrition to grow it doesnt matter how u feel! Is this true!? Or was she a crapy mean doctor
