Has this happened to any of you ladies?

Okay so i found out i was pregnant friday, started spotting with slight cramping yesterday, brown spotting* I went to the hospital yesterday to get checked out, and after 4 hours of waiting, i got blood work and a quick scan done for them to tell me yes i was pregnant, and the bleeding could be caused by 3 things.. ectopic pregnancy, early pregnancy or miscarriage.. i was issued a proper ultrasound for this morning.. well i went and as they were ultrasounding me the lady was like hold still dont move the other tech may want to see this.. i was so lost on what to think. I then had to go to emerg to wait for results.. Dr said they could see a sac but i am only 5 weeks, with no baby or heartbeat. but may be to early to tell. i am to go back 10 days from now to have another ultrasound if i dont miscarry before hand.. But atm now i am bleeding.. have been all day. bright red.. but with no cramps what so ever.

I am very confused.. i have had 2 previous miscarriages, and they were quick and very painful.. this is just i dont. have any of you ladies had similar?

I would definitely get it checked out. Tell them you want blood work done as well as another ultrasound.

At 5/6 weeks I bled Red with no cramps, had an u/s at 7 weeks and they saw baby and hb... 5 weeks is too early to see anything, so waiting 10 days is right advice :-) if you bleed heavy and get cramps, go straight to ER.

I would watch it over the next few days, and definitely make sure you keep your doctor informed of what's going or if it gets heavier. It IS possible to miscarry with little to no pain, however it's too early to make that sort of call. Your ultrasound sounds typical for as far along as you are, and even being off by 2 days can cause a huge difference in the development and what you see. Is your doctor giving you another ultrasound in coming weeks? Or doing blood work to see what your hCG is doing?

How heavy is the bleeding? Is it just every now and then, or similar to a period?
