Ah. It was done too early then. You would have been maybe 4-5 weeks, and usually nothing is seen. Is your doctor doing a follow up ultrasound?

So you would be 6 weeks tomorrow. When did you have the ultrasound done? Depending on when it was might explain why nothing was seen. As stated previously, pregnancy isn't dated from when you had sex, it's when your last menstural cycle was. So women are considered pregnant for two weeks and they actually are not. This is why it's not possible to be 1-2 weeks pregnant, because at 2 weeks or so you're ovulating.

That makes more sense, so you are 6 weeks pregnant, at around 5 - 6weeks I was bleeding , I thought that I might have been misscaraiging but now I'm 16 weeks and baby is healthy. Like everyone said as long as its not to heavy, has clots and isn't accompanied by a lot of pain it can be normal, keep an eye on it and if it gets worse then go straight to your ob . With the ultrasound I wouldn't worry to much, sometimes it can be to small to see. Good luck to you and I hope everything turns out fine with your baby.

When was the first day of your last period? That is the day you count from. Yes you would generally have pain with a miscarriage but as others have said it's not unusual to have light spotting/bleeding.
If anything changes with the current situation go see your obs straight away.
Hope everything turns out ok.

Bleeding puts baby's chances of survival at about fifty per cent...where it is abnormal bleeding like a period or heavier. The keyword with miscarriage at this stage is clots. If you're passing clots, miscarriage has probably occured. I had a lot of bleeding in my last pregnancy from 9 weeks onwards. Had a healthy 9 and a half pound baby boy.

I found out at 2 weeks pregnant.... and 4 weeks with my daughter. It can happen.  As far as the ultrasound, it takes til the 5the week to see anything, and there still need no problems.

How do you no your pregnant at 3 weeks or less ? Usually a positive result only happens at 4 weeks , maybe a few days early.  At 3 weeks you most likely wouldn't be able to see anything on an ultrasound as the baby is way to small and is only a bunch of cells.
