membrane strip/sweep

What is the process of this?  I think I got mine done today but my nurse didn't say anything.  I thought I was getting checked for dilation but she was taking a lil longer this time and I bled afterwards

No she didn't say anything and I never bleed after she checks but this time she took longer and it hurt.  And I'm not over due but she suggests that I get induced but I don't want to.  But if my next appt shows that my fluid leaked more then I'm going to have to get induced

I would think they would have told you.. when i get my cervix checked they always tell me its normal if i bleed a little bit after.. my doctor is really good about telling me exactly what she is doing while shes doing it.

They stick two fingers in you and open your cervix and separate your bag of water from your vaginal wall..and sometimes when you get checked for dilation you bleed afterwards..they normally don't do sweeps until your over due..they will usually ask if you want it done
