pregnancy and dogs

My puppy won't leave me alone now that I'm pregnant.
He's laying on my belly at this very moment.
Is this normal? For him to be this protective of me?

He doesn't bark or anything. He's not mean. But my guy tries to kiss me he'll jump in between us and lick faces. And if we're cuddling he'll sit between us.
The worst things he does is sitting on people's heads. And one time he peed on my roommate when I had gotten upset with my roommate.

Mine really arent protective they know im the beta(female leader) but they follow me everywhere like they are gonna make sure i dont pass out and fall

P.s I am a dog trainer and one of the biggest issues I see with are related with pregnancies and babies. A lot of women nurture the wrong behaviour in pregnancy (aggression/guarding etc etc) and this then becomes habit and opens a whole big can only worms.

Protective and sensitive is fine as long as it's not over the top or aggressive. Mine love cuddling up and leaning on my belly and I love it too.

My dog is in bed with me right now it's like having a grown man laying here lol. He's really protective and sensitive when it comes to me. I just hope he doesn't get jealous once the baby comes.

i had a female dog when i was pregnant with my first and and after i had him my dog turned on me. i couldn't go near her

I have 3 dogs. My female is being very sweet and listen to me all the time.

Oh all of mine too they are super protective of me now. When we have people over nobody can sit next to me because that's where my puppies are lol

Yes! And don't punish him for it! I have three dogs. And they don't even ley my fiancé be mean to me orrasie his vvoice at me since I got pregnant.
