pregnancy questions

Hi, I'm 22 yrs old.. I had my pregnancy confirmed on Feb.11th, my Last Mentral Period  was Dec 23rd. They gave me an EDD of Sept .25th. I have been spotting and went to the ER yesterday and had a TransVaginal US done. The results are showing 6weeks and 5 days gestation and EDD 11/10/2010 and showing no fetal pole. HCG is 18841. They are also saying possibility of incomplete abortion... Has anyone else gone through this? Any help would be great...

I'm sorry you're going through this, I wish the best for you....the medical term for a miscarriage is "spontaneous abortion" which basically just means that the pregnancy ended itself....unfortunately the medical world doesn't realize how hurtful the term "spontaneous abortion" can be for a woman who just lost her child, but that's just the way they do things. so basically what they're saying to you is that they think you miscarried but that the process isn't over yet. Best of luck with your labs.

I am sorry you are going through this - I calculated that for Dec 23rd being your LMP that would make you almost 13 weeks  -  I also read the following
HCG Levels for  9-12 weeks, LMP should be 25,700 - 288,000
HCG Levels for 13-16 weeks, LMP should be 13,300 - 254,000

Your HCG Level peaks at 12 weeks so the HCG could or could not indicate a problem - but at 13 weeks you should see a small but developed fetus. Did they schedule a follow up us?
