Going in for induction in 2 hours...Any last minute advice!?

Hey ladies...I'm going in for my induction soon!  Any last minute advice?  Even if it is a reminder for something to put in the hospital bag I might not have thought of...ANYTHING!

Inductions take time and you should try to eat a couple of snacks here and there or drink some gatorade while you are at the hospital.  I know doctors usually advice you not to but I've read that in many cases it helps and helps avoid fetal distress.

Also try to make sure that they let you move around a little bit even if its just rocking on the exercise ball, it helps with positioning the baby and to relieve some stress from your hips like when you are in bed.

Try everything that you can in terms of moving and walking before you are in active labor it makes your labor shorter if you move around because it helps the baby position himself faster.
Dont get the placenta ruptured until you are well dilated.  I don't want to scare you but just try to push it off until you are almost about to push.
Don't push (and don't let anyone tell you to push) before you feel the urge to push, always remember that your body knows exactly what its doing, your body was designed specifically for this purpose so trust your instincts.  Believe in yourself and stay strong.  I know you can do it and congrats!  Please update whenever you can :)

Slippers!!! Thankfully someone brought me some as a gift....!!! You will want them..otherwise..you feel like you have dirt on the bottom of your feet!.......other than that...i wanted me own nightgown after I had her......better for whenpeople come then the hospital gown!

Good luck hun!!! I hope it all goes well.......

Oh, good for you!! I cannot imagine how excited you must feel!  All I can say is good luck and best wishes. I was induced with my first and everything went *fine*, don't worry about a thing.

I think the most important thing I packed in my bag was snacks, after L & D you will be *starving*!! LoL  And of course don't forget your camera, extra batteries, etc.

Good Luck again!!
