20 weeks pregnant and feeling unhappy with health care provider.

I am needing some opinions about my General Practitioner. I am 20 weeks pregnant and am feeling a little underwhelmed by my doctor. I have been every 4 weeks without fail. I was given the NT u/s but the doctor has not weighed me, measured my fundus or checked heartbeat with doppler once. He has only checked my blood pressure twice. I have had the triple screen and std checks but no hcg or progesterone  levels done. Now this pregnancy has been pretty different for me. I have just been so tired and sick. I have a feeling that something is not quite right.  Has my doctor not shown his duty of care and should I change even though that will mean I will have to travel for check ups.

UPDATE: Had my anatomy ultrasound yesterday and asked the report to be forwarded to the doctor who delivered my last baby. I recieved a phone call today from that doctors office asking me to go in tomorrow to discuss results. When I asked why, the receptionist said she could not discuss it with me but I needed to see the doctor.

I told her that I was in the middle of some heavy gardening and she said to stop at once take a shower and put my feet up. AHHHHHHH the frustration of it. So now I am trying not to worry myself sick. Not mentioning it to dh because he is an absolute worrier. He could worry a stain off his shirt.

I would speak to your doctor and express
your concerns before you try to change. (unless you already have) not measuring the fundus is one thing. (some don't as it can be very inaccurate) but he needs to be monitering your BP and weight. He also needs to be checking to make sure the baby has a heartbeat at very visit. Talk to him and if he still refuses, I would change.

I am surprised you are not getting weight, and shocked that the baby's heartbeat hasn't been checked. I would be upset if I was you as well. I have always thought if yo are unhappy with your Dr. get a new one if you can. Depending on how far away you would have to travel, maybe you could talk to him and ask him whats up.

Good luck!
