yeah i understand where you are coming from; and i can understand the reasoning behind banning it..its not the mother's body, the boy should be able to decide when he is older, etc... i definitely don't believe it is harmful to the boy or mutilation of any sort though...and whether or not i believe that the mother should be able to decide for the child, i definitely don't think the government should have that right. i think most of us would agree on that!!
What's up with San Fran first trying for the no toys w food and now this. My husband and I were discussing this a few days ago when it was announced. We are Jewish and well it's a religious thing for us but it doesn't cause problems getting it done or not done so why do they have to get involved. It's silly! I hope it doesn't pass it's a personal decision that politics shouldn't be involved in
If it does there definetly should be exemptions available!!!
yesah being from a christian background and family I understand that! But the san fran area is not really a christian area I do not think, that is where gay rights where started and just about everything else. Good and bad.
EVERYONE in my family says boys should be for biblical reasons!
I am the black sheep of the family I think;) hahaha
If I did not question things done that are usually never questioned I would say it should not be banned without thinking, but now I do question everything and look at every detal and make my own desisions as a parent. I do NOT want to do just becasue I am told or everyone does it. So even though I do not agree with having it done for my babies I would never want someone to tell me expecially the GV or dr that I HAD to do something against what my heart told me was wrong. This is going to be a very BIG thing becasue it will effect not only biblical people but all parents of all beliefs and thoughts!!!!
What an issue and kinda scary what will be next!
i agree that it will be a domino effect if this is passed.. but i completely and totally disagree that it is mutilation. my reasons being mainly religious, God would not have instituted something that was mutilation. other obvious reasons it isn't mutilation is the cleanliness aspect of it.
just my opinion.
I am not a fan of circumcision but I don't think it should be banned. I wouldn't want it to be a law to have circumcision be mandatory ....so, I can't support a ban on it either.
I think it should be totally up to the mother...just my opinion
