you can buy one at any store really. if you go to dollar general you can get their brand for a buck....or you can get a digital test (they're just easier to read) at a place like wal mart, wal greens, giant eagle or any major chain for $10-$13.

and i agree with carissarae....last thing you need at 13 is a baby. i'm 22 and scared about having my twins. i could only imagine what it'd be like for someone almost 10 years younger then me.

Being underweight can cause you to miss periods! It can actually cause a lot of problems with your health. You need to maintain a body weight that is normal for your height. Your doctor should've talked with you on how to gain weight appropriately.

you should really contact a pregnancy crisis center and talk to someone there also, theyre really helpful. and take an HPT or just go to the doc and get a blood test.

besides the fact that your 3 weeks late, do you have anyother symptoms? like nausea, headaches, acne break outs? go get a pregnancy test done asap! then you can take it from there, you need to gain a healthy amount of weight no matter what the pregnancy test shows, if your not pregnant get on birth control, the pull out method dont work the condoms break you need to be the one to be takin it to prevent this from happining. im not ttrying to be rude or mean but for your sake i hope your not pregnant, you have your whole life ahead of you, your 13 i have a lil sis whos your age almost and i cant imagine her being pregnant, theres no judgement here, if your pregnant thats a gift all in it self :) let us know the results of the test plz, many woman here are very wise and can offer you help and advice :) the best of wishes to you

HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOUR 13 YEAR OLD WAS SEXUALLY ACTIVE, PROBABLY BEFORE EVEN SPROUTING PUBIC HAIR?

ITS DISGUSTING THAT KIDS THIS YOUNG THINK THEY ARE ABLE TO BE GOOD PARENTS BEFORE THEY ARE EVEN OLD ENOGH TO DO A PAPER ROUND!

I am a mother of a 12 yr old girl and 14 yr old boy, and my kids aren't out there doing these things. Maybe this child doesn't have someone to guide them. Maybe that's why they are here seeking help. If we treat them bad here, who else are they going to turn to?  No one said what she is doing is right, but we can help her to correct her mistake. And while it is disturbing that kids this young are having sex, we can't stop them. So the only way to better help them is to educate them. Be a part of the solution, not the problem.

I agree with lois, be nice!  She came for help.  you can't take back her verginity.  All we can do is be here for her.  Also, you have to realize, like it or not, kids these days are way further ahead than even I was and I am only 30.

Don't get discouraged. These ladies have given you some very useful advise. Now it's up to you to use it. Know that you have already done the right thing by talking to your Dr. You have taken more steps than some young ladies in your situation. Take care of yourself.

i agree with lois to..there is no reason for us to be rude to her and to badger her. shes scared and needs our help, there are ways to voice your opinion without being rude. like lois said, maybe we are the only ones she can talk to and if we push her away who knows what will happen...

I agree with the other posters. Why bother coming on an advice forum and passing judgement on everyone you post to. I myself am a research scientist and work in HIV research and know full well what can happen to people. Regardless of that, what's done is done and unfortunately this little girl made a mistake. We have all made mistakes in our lives, no one is exempt from that. She is a 13 year old girl and is seeking advice from women who can be supportive. While I understand you have your opinions, perhaps a little tact and support would go farther than reprimanding and yelling at her. I find people take more kindly to advice when they are talked to rather than yelled at or told they are wrong. She may be more receptive to look out for herself next time if we kindly and rationally give her the advice she so desperately seeks.

I have to agree with lois and shannon. She knows she has made a mistake and maybe we are the only ones who can help her. On every post that you have commented on, you are passing judgement. Don't you remember what it was like to be 13 and do something wrong and have no one to talk to about it? If you speak like this to other people who you don't know, I would hate to see how you talk to your own children. As the old saying goes,. ' What goes around, comes around' or You can point one finger at someone else but you will always have at least 3 pointing back to you.

Gaby.. Take a test and let us know the results. No matter what happens we will be here for you to help you with anything you need. Have Faith that everything will work out for you.

Yes your periods can be delayed due to being underweight. If your period hasnt come within another week i would make an appointment with your GP to discuss the fact that you are underweight and hopefully he can help you getting to a healthy weight which will be better for you. Good luck

YOU have come on this forum to get some advice, and i think that you have been given some good advice. Is it possible for you to speak to other family members about your concerns ?? a auntie or a older sibling maybe. As soon as you can, get a pregnancy test. Did you tell the doctor you were sexually active ?  If you speak to a family member they could talk to your parents for you. Please just listen to the practical advice you have been given, i know you must be very scared at the moment but you need to do something about the situation now not later.Good luck
