You can actually use eggs past the date. If you think the eggs have been in there longer than a month, throw them out. But if they were a more recent purchase, eat them.
I hard-boil eggs when they're close to the expiration date so they last at least a week longer.
I agree with Mumita, I use eggs that are past their due dates all the time! I mean in every day life, how many people actually pay attention to the due dates on eggs? LoL sorry but if I know that I have had them for awhile, then I will crack them in a seperat bowl and if they look like they are red or orange, then I throw that egg away and pull out another until I find a fresh on to use :D
The eggs are fine as long as they are not raw. To know if they are fresh or not you have to crack them open in a bowl and if the yolk is still yellow then its still good but if the yolk is orange/red then throw out they are no good.
if it were me, i'd throw the eggs away and buy some with a clear date
