Getting induced Sunday!

Getting induced on Sunday afternoon! I'll be barely 38wks, but baby has complication IUGR (intrauterine growth retardation). Anyone have/had this? I'm nervous about getting induced because my cervix isn't dilated at all so idk how long labor will be. Also, baby is only 4lbs 15oz. Keep me in your prayers please!

if ur doc told u the exact weight of ur baby in womb theyre most probably wrong theres no way to calculate exact weight when baby is still in tummy its just an estimate. 38weeks is full term i dont think yr little one will end up in nicu. my little boy was born full term was just over 5lb and perfectly healthy was in hosp for 3days but only bcos i had stitches try to be possitive. hope all goes well good luck to you both x

I havent had it but i work in a hospital & see it pretty often, most babies do fine & alot dont have to go to nicu depends on the weight tho...my friends baby was a lil under 5lbs when she was discharged...oh yeah & IUGR is intrauterine growth restriction, when the baby just stops growing or grows slowly. But goodluck ill pray for you & your lil one!

Yeah my mother-in-law told me that they usu. keep them until 5lbs so it's the same over here. Any guesses on how long we will be at the hospital?

Baby will more than likely be placed in the nicu , Idk where you live but I know most states don't allow the baby to leave till they are over 5 lbs which can be hard sometimes seeing how babies loose weight at first
