question about breastfeeding.....

I plan on breastfeeding and formula feeding because once baby is born I plan on going to work. But while I'm breastfeeding when I pump into the bottle and put it in the fridge when I go to use it can I put it in the microwave like you can with formula? I am a first time mom.

Just a few mins it doesn't have to be very warm anyways that and if your making formula bottles you can always use warm water to mix the formula in :) don't stress

Thank you for your help. The only reason I said microwave is because my sister in law did with my niece and nephew so I am just going by what she did. Not sure what my husband sister did.

when your ready to take it out the refrigerator place in a cup of warm water until the milk feels warm never microwave anything for a newborn baby. After a while that gets tiring so for me I pops baby right on nipple hated warming bottles in the middle of the night

You are not "suppose to" ever use the microwave that goes for formula and breast milk. It can take all the good stuff out of the milk. I work at a daycare and we use bottle warmers and when we have more then one baby that needs theirs warm we even heat up some water and put the bottle in there for a min or so.

When you pump freeze your milk I breastfed my Son four months. When you freeze your milk it can last up to 6months. NEVER put your milk in the microwave its human milk all you have to do is put warm luke water in a bowl then sit the milk bag in it. It's gonna thaw out in 2mins, when you refrigerate it the milk only good 24 to 48hours

You cannot heat breast milk or formula in a microwave, it's very dangerous. The best is to warm the bottle by placing it in warm/hot water or by using a bottle warmer.

How long do you leave it in hot water?

Honey don't use a microwave it will cause super hot spots in the milk/formula and can cause burns in your baby's mouth..of you want to heat it you should use hot water in a bowl or large cup and submerge the bottle that way it warms throughout.. but yes you can warm both
