like the in-laws says "don't lay down too much, don't sleep alot, Your baby will stick to you. then it will come out deformed.. " Like dude. the doctor put me on restricted bed rest. ! gets me so mad. and about the food. I can't even taste a soda or touch chips. I hate it..
Ugh it's one thing when you ask for advice but when it's unsolicited it bothers me. I have to bite my tongue because I'm a 'know it all'. I've read hundreds of books and articles about pregnancy/birth/parenting and I've put missy of what I've learned into practice. Sometimes it's hard not to correct a new mom (or even an experienced mom) but I just try to imagine how mad I'd be if I got unsolicited advice constantly. So I bite my tongue unless I'm asked, and even then I try to not come off as critical or judgemental.
Lol yeah I hate when people think they know it all.
Omg I know im a Ftm my baby is almost 2 months and on tuesday this lady who has 5 kids wanted to carry my baby I said no I need to go change her diaper she said "like if I didnt have kids" and she was holding her and while she was holding her she was doing more poop so I said im going to take her and change her in the car because there was no where to change her and there was alot of people around and she said no shes doing more change her I said ill take her to the car and change her and she said no change her now or ill change her so she did she took her to this room with people around and showed me how to do it LIKE ARE YOU SERIOUS I WAS SOOO MAD LIKE IF IT WAS MY FIRST TIME CHANGING A DIAPER ! It was really embarrasing for me because people probably thought just because its my first and my young (19) I need help changing my daughters diaper even after 2 months of having her ... And this lady folded the diaper because soppously it was "too big" and it barely covered her butt and it was too tight on her anf she thinks she knows it old she was telling me how to take care of my baby and how to do this and that ... End of story I left to the car and fixed it ... -___-
Well, as the saying goes 'nobody likes a know it all' =P I think it's a general thing, wait till the baby comes! I think the thing that drove me nuts with my first was the total strangers trying to tell me how to do things 'the right way' and often one opi would be conflicting from another lol
There's people that do way worse while pregnant and it's honestly sad. I know, I hate when people try to tell me what not to eat. Like there's not a lot of food that can seriously harm our babies and most are well know. And even if you ate hot cheetos even once, of course it's not the healthiest choice, but it's not going to harm your baby. You're fine and it's not going to harm your baby. Your baby takes whatever nutrients it can from the food you eat. I hate when people tell me I shouldnt be eating something. As long as your baby is healthy, and u aren't gaining soooo much weight then it shouldn't matter. At least you're not smoking or drinking.
^^^^^ yes!!! it truly is! lol it makes me crazy -_- I also heard you werent suppose to eat MUCH of spicey things because it can give baby acid reflux when its born and that baby will cry....and cry more than they should. but who really knows... I pay no attention to them! I also dont do, spicey lol
Lol that too, but I'm just saying just because you had one baby doesn't mean you know it all :P
I think its more annoying when someone who doesn't have a baby thinks they know everything
