So I went out and bought my little princess some newborn sized clothes yesterday but I was a fat baby weighing in at 9 lbs and I think my fiance was 8 lbs... so we both were pretty large newborns. My point is does our weights have anything to do with how big she'll be when she's born and will newborn sized clothes be too small for her :c ?

I mean at my sonogram I was 19 weeks and 5 days and the lady said my little girl was 11 ounces. Thats less than a pound by about 5 ounces and now I'm 21 weeks and 3 days so I mean I havent gained any weight so far I'm still at -6 pounds.
But okay, I'll take y'alls advice on not buying too many things

It really just depends... It can have some say, but it also depends on your pregnancy and the way you're taking care of it. I wouldn't buy many newborn clothes, my son grew out of his pretty quickly and is only 2 months and wearing 3 month clothes!

Honestly u really cant tell. I think it has more to do with how u eat during pregnancy but who knows lol I personally only buy a few newborn outfits because both of my children grew out of newborn size by 2 weeks old. Its not really worth buying tons of newborn sized clothing if ur baby will only wear them a few times each if that. My son weighed 8 lbs at birth and barely fit the newborn outfit i bought him for about 3 days. He grew very quickly. Good luck and take care.

I was told it doesn't matter how big / small you or the father were when yall were born . It just depends on if she /he gains more weight from the food you eat . I'm already 21 weeks , 22 on Thursday & my baby weighs almost a pound and a half
