A basal body thermometer is just basically a digital one, but the kind that goes in your mouth not your ear.  make sure to take your temp in the morning at the same time every day either while your still in bed or within minutes of getting up. When your temp rises is when you ovulate, and when it drops is when AF is about to hit. :)

You can get a basil body thermometer from a pharmacy or drug store.  www.fertilityfriend.com is a great site.  That's where I went when I used to chart my bbt.  Good luck.
