You definitely are at higher risks for things because the older you get, the older your follicles (eggs) become. BUT... older women have healthy babies all the time! Weigh the pros and cons and make a decision that is right for you!

no your not too old. But be warned you have a higher risk of a baby with down syndrome. it isn't the worst thing in the world tho. I am 21 y/o and am pregnant with a boy who has down syndrome. We found out thru an amnio (I got it to test for a genetic problem I have that has a %50 of being passed to him)

My husband is 21 and his mom is 57 so she had him around age 36. Talk to your OB and maybe he/she can help you chart your cycles to be sure your still ovulating normally!

honey, yes medicine is so advanced! they have testing due to your age that determines any birth defects, or other gene issues! yes, you may have a slightly higher risk of those b/c of your age but if it is something you want, by all means go for it! i have friends who are my age(mid 20's), whose parents are in their late 50's early 60's, putting them at your age when they were born.....but they're healthy!  talk to your ob and see if there's anything you can do to increase your chances of conception, and a healthy diet, and go have fun *making* babies!!!!!
