I agree. My doctor kept trying to tell me that my due date is Dec. 7th but I know when I ovulate and it's later then average so therefore my due date is actually Dec. 10th. Not a huge difference but for some women, like your friend, who probably also ovulated and maybe implanted later their due date can be as much as a week or so off from the doctor's so if the doc tells you to be induced at say 38 weeks and you're really only 36 weeks because of late ovulation/implantation, that can be devastating. This is why it's important to LISTEN TO YOUR BODY because all women are different and doctors follow what's "normal" in the text books.
Well you have to think everything we're told about pregnancy says our due dates can be off for about two weeks iin either direction. 13 days past due date is a pretty safe bet and most doctors would induce by then. I'm so sorry to hear about your friends baby I hope she's ok
This is scary. We place all our trust on Dr s because face it there drs and they should know best, but this comes to show its not true. I hope baby is doing better.
So sad!! Unfortunately my aunt had a full term baby and still had this problem, she's healthy and growing fine now, but she had a rough couple of first months! I hope the baby recovers quickly!!
OMG that's so sad! I would so Sue!!!!!!!
