Im kind of confused..

So, I keep hearing and reading if your labor is taking to long hospitals will try to force drugs into you to speed things up. If you refuse them, they cant like force it on you right? Or will they just send you home? I'm only 8weeks 6days haha I'm just trying to absorb all information possible really, so I'm prepared. Ftm. (:

See if you cab find a Doula. She can help you thru the confusion and make a birth plan with you. She can also advocate for you at the hospital so you don't have to try to think clear during your labor or argue with doctors

Okay :) thanks. Since I got pregnant all everyone in my family keeps telling me are these horror stories, which is SO old. But it worried me. I'm a little more hard headed than anyone else in my family. They just go along with everything. I have no problem putting my foot down. (As long as baby and I are safe and doing well)

They can't force you to take any drugs if you don't want them they can advise you but its always your decision.

They cannot force you unless it becomes a matter of life or death I do believe. There is a point where if it is risky for you and/or baby that medical staff must do what they can to get you to understand that something bad will happen. Other than that feel free to deny any epidurals, pitocin, drip bags, or pills that you want. Same with things like forceps/clamps.
