thank you all for your help! I think the nurse just freaked me out, especially since i have had 2 miscarriages already.
I was 80 at 17 dpo. So you are 5 days earlier than I was, so your numbers don't look bad, I heard anything over a 5 was positive.
Each person is different. It isn't the number that counts- what counts is that it doubles every 72 hours, as previously stated by other commenters.
Your HCG levels have to start somewhere. It can take 7-12 days post ovulation for the embryo to implant (and give off HCG into your urine and blood).
So get your levels re-checked within 2-3 days of the first test. If they're over 26 I would say you're off to a good start. Keep taking that progesterone.
Is your doctor also having you take baby aspirin? Some women miscarry due to unknown blood clotting disorders. You should ask about that when you get your 2nd beta results.
yes the numbers should double, im not sure what is good or bad, but at 5 weeks my numbers were almost 4000. some people have in the 10,000 and some peoples are alot lower, i think it all depends on the person.
i don't know what the normal ranges for hcg are, but i do know that the most important indication of a viable pregnancy is that your levels double every 72 hours.
