low hcg level

i need help! im freaking out. my last menstral period was around june 29, i found out i am pregnant on august 4. they told me that i am 5 weeks pregnant, only according to my last period did they guess that. i went to the ER on august 7 due to bleeding only when i go to the bathroom and a little spotting after..they checked my hcg levels but they didnt tell me what they were and it didnt occur to me to ask at that point. i had another blood test today on august 9 and my HCG levels came back to be only 38; does anyone know what this may mean? could i be having a miscarriage or early in the pregnancy?

my story is similar to yours I am at 5 weeks, but my HCG level was 3215. I don't know if you are miscarring or not, some peoples HCG levels climb slower and they end up having healthy babies, so I hope it works out for you.

I have had 3 M/C and it really *****, most people say that bleeding while pregnant is normal as long as it is not accompanied by cramping.

Sounds like you are very early in the pregnancy.  Call and ask for the first level or see if you can get one more done on Wednesday to be sure the numbers were doubling.
