I am currently 6 weeks and 5 days and one of my fiancé's friends are telling me all this stuff I shouldn't do. And she acts like she knows all of this due to the fact once she was pregnant (misscarried about a year ago) but she smokes could that have lead her to misscarry in the first place? I'm just curious it's just irritating that she's telling me no soda etc because it's bad for the baby and I drink root beer now so I'm okay. And we keep telling her to stop because she is trying to get pregnant but she does not listen. Advice?
It does ny head in when people try to tell you what to do and what not to do especially when theyre wrong I usually get up on the Internet that infact it is safe to eat and then start eating it infront of them I hate people who inter fear
My sister in law is just the same. In her case, she never got prego but she truly believes shes an expert. She has told me a friend of hers'baby was born without finger nails due to her friend drinking soda while pregnant. She tells me not to drink skim milk, non sense like that. Just pretend to listen and have a good laugh later on.
My boyfriendd cousin is the same way. I just pretend to take her advice, be polite, and wait for her to leave! We are all different and choose to different things during our pregnancy!
Lol- sounds like she's envious! Obviously soda is bad, pregnant or not... drink what you crave & back it up with water .si you don't become dehydrated. Get a book at library & quote it - prove she's not the baby expert. She'd drive me nuts!
You can choose whether or not to listen to her.. as for the miscarriage I've had 2 and I did everything right I was just unlucky.. and im sure she's not doing it to upset you or anything, if she's trying to get pregnant she probably just wants to talk about pregnancy with someone :)
