annoyed

I moved out of my boyfriends house when I found put I was pregnant because his mom and her boyfriend smoke in the house and his mom is lazy and doesnt clean and I just knew that I had to get out of that type of environment so I moved back in with my mom. But now his mom keeps asking him if I'm coming back and if I am gonna be staying there with the baby and all kinds of stuff. Like she is so DUMB. Why the hell would I bring the baby to live in filth? Like I really don't think she knows that her house is gross and babies cannot be around smoke. I have already made up my mind if she wants to see the baby there can be absolutely no smoking in the house and it needs to be cleaned. I know it's going to upset her and I feel like I'm being a big b but honestly i feel like she is oblivious to her living conditions. Ugh am I wrong to be acting this way?

Not at all. My mother smokes, only outside, but I have already explained that after she smokes she needs to have changed her shirt (or taken off her jacket) and washed her hands. (Keep sanitizer handy if you go out you never know were people's hands have been an you don't want them touching your baby with hands they cough on an touch everything with) Babies shouldn't be around cigarette smoke at all, even if it is just on clothing, babies who are around it are more likely to experience SIDS. I'm not taking that chance, no mother should. Their immune systems are not strong enough to fight off sickness like ours, they need a clean environment. Do not feel like you are in the wrong, you're not at all. Your just being a good momma. ツ

Nope. You're just looking out for your baby and doing what's best. I'd do the same.
