Okay so I have a question about the whole bouncing on the edge of the bed thing. How does it work an will it hurt the baby in any way??

Bouncing on a bed will not bring on labor. If you are close or in labor, staying upright ( walking or sitting on a birthing ball) puts the baby's  weight on your cervix as well as helps bring baby down and advanced labor. Actually bouncing does nothing.
