Depo & getting pregnant...

Ok...so I got one depo injection May 12th & was due for another in August. I never went back to get another because my hubby and I decided to try to conceive. I had my cycles while on Depo, and still have them regularly now. I have been taking prenatal vitamins for a month and am trying to flush my system with water. Is it possible to get pregnant now? I had my last cycle on Dec 21 and it lasted about 4 days...I've read a lot of articles but would like to find a person with similar experiences to discuss it with.

I got pregnant between shots but I was on depo for less than a year. Good luck hun!

i agree with quinns momma i was on depo for 2 and a half years i've now been ttc for the same length of time with no joy fertility results for myself and my partner are both fine but got one more to do on 7th jan
I do not recommend depo at all as i believe this alone has messed up my body
Yes some women do conceive quickly after takin it but others are not as fortunate. I wish u the best of luck ttc and don't look out for symptoms  to much wait on a missed period again gd luck

i know a girl who was on the depo and didnt get her periods of  course and guess what she just found out shes 28 weeks pregnant and had no clue up until she had bloodwork and an ultrasound done!! LOL So i guess it can happen! Good luck

Depo stays in the system a lot longer than any other hormone birth control. It can stay in your system and affect fertility for 12-18 months after your last shot.  Some women do get pregnant in just a matter of months once off of it. Others take well over a year.

Flushing your body with water will have no effect on the Depo. However I would still try every month.
