Mostly doctors say its very common during pregnancy but if it gets worst or continue later down the line make sure you tell the doctor and get it checked cause it could be early contractions and sometimes with that you could be positive for premature labor.I know that's what happened to me and my cervix was a finger tip open but it closed back and I'm 30 weeks but I still get cramping now and then which are contractions.and I'm positive for premature labor.

I had the same thing in the beginning. My Dr told me it was from the pressure being put on my pelvis. Eventually your uterus will move out of your pelvis and that should go away. Totally normal.

I'm 5 weeks pregnant with my first as well! And just like yourself I've been having moderate to severe cramping. I've been told by the doctors and nurses I work with, that it's normal. If you truly want a nerve calmer, have an ultrasound done. Congrats on the pregnancy :)
