cooking question. please answer if you can

Had dinner at a friends house. She made homemade chicken noodle soup & used bay leaves for flavor. I had two bites and remembered reading something about bay leaves so i looked it up & it said to absolutely avoid. Can cause uterine complications... freaking out now... help!!! 20 weeks tomorrow. Thank you!!

I think they mean eating the actual leaf.

I read more and i think it will be ok... i think what i read was eating the actual leaf or using it as a different form. Cooking with it should be fine and like i mentioned-- i only had 2 small bites.

I wouldn't worry about it. I had no clue that eating fresh pinneapple could cause contractions, until reading about it right after eating a half of one!! Nothing happened.

I haven't heard anything about it but you can always call your doctor when they open our if you stay having or noticing anything, go to labor and delivery
