On Jan. 31 I was admitted to the ER with pain on the right side of my abdomen, at that time I was 5 weeks PG (LMP) but after running urine & blood test with a vaginal US etc. the obgyn said that its possible I have an ectopic pregnancy and I’m 4 weeks PG. I had a laparoscopy and was given general anesthesia-endotracheal. 2/4/08 the same obgyn call and said it was not an ectopic PG, I'm still PG, my hCG level is normal, and I had a cyst on my left ovary which was drained. A follow up US on 2/7 with the obgyn showed I still have a little blood remaining which my body will reabsorb & did a vaginal US which looked ok. I am now 8 weeks PG & have a new obgyn who told me that the cyst usually helps during PG. They did an US the next day to determine why I was still spotting from the day of my surgery. The lady who did the US said the heart beat is normal and showed me the sac and also said that an ectopic pregnancy cannot be confirm until the sac is seen in which I would of have to return in 1 or 2 weeks before the surgery can be done. I am very confuse, I am still spotting-brown, worried about having a MC, i don't know if the surgery or the anesthesia will cause any problems or defects to the baby, and now I'm thinking that the surgery shouldn't have been done. I have another US appt. for 3/7. PLEASE HELP
