can i take sudafed during TTC please help

Hi! M TTC but i have sinus problem and i was under medication before i started ttc and now my sinus getting worst and i thought to take sudafed tablet or nasal spray.....will it make a problem in conceiving? Please reply

sudafed is on my list of approved medications as well :)

It will have no effect on you while trying to conceive but i think it isnt safe to take during pregnancy. I think when i read the leaflet that comes with it it says not safe during pregnancy, or consult dr if pregnant.

I don't see why you couldn't take it. It's on my approved medication list while pregnant. The nose sprays on the other hand you have to be careful with.

There is this sinus rinse that has no medication in it and works really well. It's call Neil Med sinus rinse. I didn't think it would work but gave it a try because of the same reason you and it worked! It's kind of gross but all it is is a bottle that squirts warm sailine in your sinuses and it helps you to breath immediately. You get it at a local drug store. Good luck hope it helps you. Feel better. I'm not too sure about sudafed, I don't think you want anything that dries up your mucous.
